Virginia Henry Nutter, 81, of Conway, passed away peacefully October 19, 2017. She was born November 6, 1935 in Hope, Arkansas to the late James R. and Dora Henry. Virginia enjoyed a full and rewarding career as a teacher and counselor in the Conway Public School District. She was devoted to her family, husband, and students. Virginia is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill Nutter, daughters, Ginny Nutter Wood (David) of Little Rock, Julie Nutter Johnson (Gil) of Conway, grandson, Beau Wilcox (Shannon) of Conway, step grandchildren, Michelle Digilormo (Mark), Brandi Gordon (Byron), Wilson Wood, great-grandchildren, Graham Benjamin Wilcox, Hayes Barrett Wilcox, step great-grandchildren, Macie, Fuller, and Ella Beth, numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Jimmy, Sue, and George. The family would like to extend its gratitude to the medical staff at Conway Regional Hospital, Kindred Hospice, and Southridge Village in Conway, and to the caregivers from Home Instead for their care and assistance. The family will receive visitors and celebrate her memory at a gathering Saturday October 21, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Faulkner County Humane Society, the Conway Public Schools Foundation, and Hendrix College.
