Carolyn Burton James

Mrs. Carolyn Burton James, 83, of Sherwood passed away on Tuesday, October, 24, 2017. She was born on November 9, 1933 in Texarkana, Ark. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Charlene James Baldwin, and sister, Yvonne Rackley. Carolyn was a retired accountant and paralegal from the State of Arkansas and also a retired cattle farmer. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Her hobby was taking care of her husband of 68 years, Charles Howard James, Sr. She loved her dog, Boy. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all. She is survived by her husband, Charles; son, Charles Howard James, Jr. (Pattie); brother, Ron Burton (Carol); three grandchildren, Micheal Arellanes, Justin James, Melissa Mixon; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Interment at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Pallbearers will be, Kirtis Hyde, Brian Crosson, Donnie Price, Larry Thomas, Jody Brooks and Mark Monahan.
