Columbus Lincoln Abrams Jr.

Mr. Columbus Lincoln Abrams Jr., 73, of Little Rock, was born to Columbus Lincoln Abrams Sr. and Lucy Stewart Abrams on June 17, 1944. Now his journey has ended. Columbus made his entrance through death into eternal life on Monday, October 23, 2017. Columbus had 38 years of sobriety and supported thousands with words of encouragement and celebration through his "birthday ministry." For the last 26 years, Columbus called well over 5,000 people each year to celebrate their birthday, sobriety milestones, and anniversaries. Columbus was extremely thoughtful and always found opportunities to help others and spread joy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Earl Abrams. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Morris Abrams; sister, Jacqueline (Carl) Hampton of Morrilton; son, Columbus Lincoln Abrams, III of New Plymouth, New Zealand; daughters, Angela Abrams Hazzard of Little Rock and Amanda Abrams (Sanford) Johnson of Clarksdale, Miss.; and grandchildren, Baylee, Lauren, Morris, Madison, Lorelei, Michael, and Ava. A family visitation will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 at 6-7:30 p.m. and homegoing service will be Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with additional visitation starting at 9:45 a.m. Both services will be at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock (1400 S. Ringo). Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Pine Bluff (2407 Commerce Circle).
