Jack W. Kirkwood, 86, born in Little Rock, March 22, 1931 to Ralph W. Kirkwood and Montie (Snow) Kirkwood, passed on October 21, 2017, from the loving arms of his wife of 45 years, to the waiting arms of our heavenly father. Jack worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 41 years and loved every minute. After retiring, he could be found on a golf course, fishing with friends or even watching his beloved Razorbacks or Cowboys. He had been a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church for the past 35 years. Jack touched those around him in a quiet way, but his influence was powerful and lasting. He will be greatly missed by all he encountered throughout his life. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Norman W. Kirkwood, who passed before Jack's birth; and a grandson, Justin Darter. He is survived by his wife, Faye Kirkwood; daughters, Roxanne Aftanas (Dave), Vickie Darter (David) and Charlene Williams (Bob); grandchildren, Robert and Josh Williams, Sarah Moore, Alyssa and Addy Aftanas and five great grandchildren. The family would like to express great appreciation for the prayers and outpouring of love and concern due to our tremendous loss. God be with you all! Funeral services will be Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. You may sign the online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/owens.
