Jean F. Harrman, age 95, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away Saturday October 21 in Bentonville. She was born February 19, 1922 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Ernest and Frances Carow. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, parents, three brothers and three sisters. She attended public and Catholic school and graduated from Elston High in Michigan City in 1941. Jean married Kenneth K Harrman from Wilmette, Illinois in 1946. Living in Michigan City she was employed at the City Treasures Office from 1942 until 1949. They moved to Florida in 1980. She was employed as office manager at Uniflora of Florida for several years, then became a part-time employee at FLC Machines in Leesburg. She loved growing orchids, gardening in general, and bird watching. She and Kenneth were members of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Eustis, Florida. In 1986 they moved to Waterwood, Yalaha, Florida. After his death she became a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Leesburg, Florida. Jean moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas the day before hurricane Irma, 2017. She is survived by a daughter, Gayle McKenzie of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a son, Kevin Harrman and wife Susan of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jennifer Harrman, Kevin Harrman, David Knight and his wife Conny and Ken Knight and his wife Magda; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held at St Paul's Catholic Church on November 6, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. in Leesburg, Florida. Cremation is under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
