Patrick T. Kelly

Mr. Patrick T. Kelly, age 82, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at Jamestown Nursing and Rehab in Rogers. Mr. Kelly was born Jan. 21, 1935, in Higginsville, Mo. to William C. and Mary B. Wheeler Kelly. Patrick joined the United States Navy straight out of high school where he served his county abroad on three different ships, the USS Carpenter DD825, USS Manly and the USS Holder DD819, from June 16, 1952, until Dec. 22, 1955, when he was honorably discharged. Patrick worked at a shoe factory after his service and then went on to become a Professional Ballroom Dance Instructor with Arthur Murray Dance Studio, where he met the love of his life Roma Jo Kelly, where she was also a instructor there. Patrick later went on to manage his own dance studio in Newport News, Va. After leaving the dance business he went on to become involved in several sales related jobs. Pat was best known to all that knew and loved him for his amazing ability of telling jokes, everyone he came in contact with usually heard one of his jokes. He always had us laughing and will be remembered lovingly for that. Patrick is survived by his sister, Sharon Blount, son, John Patrick Williams and wife Denice Loe Sharpe, step-children, Rocky Sallee and wife Wilma, Shawn Wiland and husband Matt, Randy Sallee and Linda Sallee. Grandchildren, Kelly Williams, Katherine Williams, Nicole Warmke, Ben Perez, Lacey Bunch and Michelle Sallee. Funeral Mass for Mr. Kelly will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Rogers. Burial will follow with military honors at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Arrangements by Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, Ark.
