Antoine "Tony" de Ras, 75, of Cabot, Ark., went home to the arms of the Lord on Thursday Sept. 7, 2017. He was born Feb. 4, 1942 in Johannesburg, South Africa to Antoine M. and Helena Kleyn de Ras. Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betsy. He is survived by five daughters, Helen Holland (Bryan) of Sacramento, Calif., Lisa Haden (Brian) of Katy, Texas, Julie Engelkes (Jonathan) of Greenbrier, Ark., Trudy Bennett (Blake) of Cabot, Ark. and Tiffany Farmer (Mitchell) of Maumelle, Ark.; three brothers, Eddy de Ras of Pretoria, South Africa, Pieter de Ras of Trafalgar, South Africa, Vincent (Vinnie) de Ras of Cornwall, England; six grandchildren; and other family members and friends. Throughout over 50 years in Chiropractic practice, his healing hands turned his patients into life-long friends and extended family all drawn in by his warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit. Tony was a strong and loving father to his daughters and a fun "Oupa" to his grandchildren. His presence in the many lives he has touched will be deeply missed even as we celebrate his life and mourn his passing.
