Kenny Rodgers

Kenny Rodgers, 65, of Bryant, passed from this life Sept. 7, 2016 surrounded by the love of his family, including his wife of 41 years, Brenda Battles Rodgers, four children and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil H. and Mary Agnes Rodgers; his brother Virgil A. Rodgers (Ginger) and his daughter Tara Susanne Rodgers. Kenny is survived by Brenda; his brothers, Gary Rodgers(Sherrell) of Jonesboro and Ronald Rodgers (Pat) of Armorel; his children Ryan (Kristin) of Jonesboro, Kristi of Bryant, Zachary (Summer) of Bryant and Daniel (Lindsey) of Benton; and his grandchildren Hudson, Hayes, Hatley, Kayleigh, Allie and Parker. He was born June 21, 1952, in Paragould and graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He also attended the LSU School of Banking and had a lifelong banking career. He is a past president of the Fox Hills Country Club, past secretary of the Boys and Girls Club and past president of Little League Baseball, all in Paragould. He was a member of Kiwanis Club and was a graduate of Leadership Blytheville. A member of First United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Kenny was a Sunday School teacher and lay speaker at UM churches for many years. Active sports were his joy, and he was a Marathon runner, golfer and youth sports coach. The family will hold a private memorial.
