Robert Cole

Robert Cole, age 78 of Lonoke went to be with the Lord Sept. 7, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Betty Cole; two children, Janie (Derrick) Grimes and Philip (Tracy) Cole; sister, Shirley Roland. He has been blessed with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Robert was a farmer most of his life; after retiring he worked as the superintendent at Stone Links Golf Course; he also built a yard spraying business, Sure Shot Weed Control. He was a deacon at Steel Bridge Baptist Church and a member of the Gideon Organization. He was an avid golfer and loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Robert lived a rich, fun-filled, godly life and was loved by many. God most definitely gained a beautiful angel. He may be gone, but never forgotten. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 at Steel Bridge Baptist Church, 1363 Hwy 31 South in Lonoke with visitation at noon, two hours prior to service.
