George Dennis Puckett

George Dennis Puckett, 88 of Springdale formerly of El Dorado, died on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. Born on Sept. 17, 1928 in Rison, Ark.; he was the son of John Gilbert Puckett and Elsie Lorene May Puckett. Dennis served in the Army. He was employed by Lion Oil and was the former city clerk for El Dorado. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Mary Evelyn Moore Coburn, Frances Annetta Nichols and a brother John Gilbert Puckett Jr. Survivors are his wife of 65 years Nancy Geraldine Puckett; son Lamar Puckett, daughter Lynda (Melvin) Cline, and son Larry (Terri) Puckett all of Springdale, Ark.; five grandchildren, John (Krystal) Swint, Leslie (Ryan) Peterson, Micah (Kelsey) Puckett, Betsy Puckett, Aaron (Maggie) Cline and two great-grandchildren, Haylee Swint, Kylee Swint. The Family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m., at Youngs Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at Young's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Micah Puckett officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Library or Building Fund, 701 S. West Ave.,El Dorado, Ark., 71730.
