Dennis (Danny) Campbell

Dennis B. (Danny) Campbell, 72, of Benton, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017. He was born November 22, 1944 in Bauxite, Arkansas. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, L.D. and Euna Campbell, daughter, Jodi Shryock, sister, Vicki Brooks, and brother, Joe Campbell. He was retired from Interstate Hwy Signs as well as the Army as a Lt. Colonel. Danny loved to paint and was an avid golfer. He loved to write stories and could make a piano come to life like no other Danny was a member of the United Missionary Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for years. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. Danny was very well educated and loved his family with all his heart as well as his golfing buddies. Danny leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 34 years, Mary Campbell, granddaughter, Kira Shyrock, son, Dean (Marilyn) Wallace, daughter, Melanie (Russell) Beckwith, grandson, Cody Dawson, granddaughter, Nina Dawson, sister, Mary Lou (James) Prysock, several nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends that will miss him dearly. Pallbearers will be his golfing buddies. Chapel services will be at Ashby Funeral Home on Wednesday, 10 a.m. with Bro. Randy Ward officiating. Burial will follow at New Rosemont Cemetery.
