Lorna Louise (Scott) Lewis, 93, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died on September 10, 2017, at Highland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Lorna was born May 13, 1924, in Eddyville, Iowa, to John D. and Nellie A. (DeGeus) Scott. She married James E. Lewis in 1943 and lived and worked in Albia and Oskaloosa, Iowa; Camdenton, Missouri; and Olathe, Kansas, before moving to Bella Vista, Arkansas. She was active in the Highland Christian Church through worship, Disciples Women, Sunday School, and Meals On Wheels. She was a life-time member of The Order of Eastern Star and a long-time member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood in Albia, Iowa, and Chapter BO-BY in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Lorna also enjoyed fishing and golfing. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 62 years, James E. Lewis; twin daughters, Neeltjie Ann Lewis and Kathryn Louise Lewis; and her two sisters, Mildred Belzer and Ruth Derby of Albia, Iowa. Lorna is survived by her daughters, Dianne (Dennis) Thrasher of Chestertown, Maryland, and Jean (Bryce) Anderson of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Through blended families, Lorna was blessed with six6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 29, at the Highland Christian Church, 1500 Forest Hills Boulevard, Bella Vista, Ark. 72715.
