Shad Edward Macon, 45 of Springdale, Ark. passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born December 29, 1971 in Springdale, AR to Frank and Marilyn (Long) Macon. Shad attended Catalyst Church in Bentonville, AR. He was a strong believer and follower of Jesus Christ. He has been a witness and shared testimonies of the love of Jesus, His mercy, and grace through his journey. At a young age, Shad started building engines, roll cages, and doing airplane restorations. As the owner and operator of Macon Motorsports he was viewed and highly respected as one of the best machinist, welders, and fabricators in his trade. He always went above and beyond to lend a helping hand to anyone whether friends or strangers when he saw they had a need. Most importantly Shad loved the Lord our God, his wife Tamara, and his family with his whole heart. He was indescribably an amazing husband, dad, brother, and "Pop"! He is survived by his wife Tamara, six children, Teagan Macon and Tanner Barnes of the home, Tayler Macon of Fayetteville, N.C., Whitley Barnes and her fiance' David Christmas of Springdale, Ark., Jacob Barnes of Hubert, N.C., and Tyler Macon of Farmington, Ark., one brother, Shane Macon and wife Marie of Tontitown, Ark., one grandson, Riggs Christmas, and two bonus grandsons, Kameron and Carter Cobb. Visitation will be held 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13th at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
