Mark Alexander, 55, passed away September 10, 2017 from pancreatic cancer. He was born July 22, 1962 in Fairfield, California, but spent his early years growing up in Little Rock. Surviving Mark are his mother, Judith Alexander of Little Rock; his father, Cal Alexander (Fran) of Hot Springs; and a sister, Kelly Alexander of Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Pauline Russenberger, and his paternal grandparents, Marion and Lola Alexander. Upon graduating from high school, Mark received a scholarship to Christian Brothers College in Memphis, Tennessee to study engineering. Later, he graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. As a resident of Fayetteville, Mark worked for over 20 years for the Eureka Pizza Company. He was an avid reader and loved listening to music, particularly, jazz music. Bicycling was also a favorite thing for Mark to do in later years. Private gatherings of friends and family are planned for Little Rock and Fayetteville. Memorials may be made to the Fayetteville Humane Society, the American Cancer Society or a local organization that supports Aspergers' awareness.
