Lilly Ernestine Farris, 90, of Furlow, stepped into the arms of her Lord, Monday, September 11, 2017. She was born March 10, 1927 to the late JT and Manila Edwards in Judsonia, Arkansas. Ernestine married her late husband Paul in 1949, and lived in love until his death 2009. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Pauline; sister, Marguerite; brothers, Leon, Olen Price; son-in-law, Floyd; and grandson, Gage. Ernestine retired from Maybelline after 13 years of service in 1989. Her greatest joys were teaching class at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member for 60 years; making and decorating birthday cakes for her family; and sitting in her porch swing with her 4-legged companion, Oddie. She is survived by her daughters, Dana Williams and Peggy (Rockey) Goodman both of Furlow; grandchildren: Rocky (Jenni) Goodman, Paul (Mindy) Goodman, Heather (Mike) Marshall, Kimberlea (Jessie) Jones and Wesley (Ashley) Williams; great-grandchildren: Blake, Phillip, Olivia, Jacqueline, Caden, Lincoln, Alexis, Todd, Michael, Skylar, Susan, Trey, Kensley, Floyd IV, and one on the way; great-great-grandchild Gracelynn. We would like to thank the staff at Springhill Baptist, especially Dawn, Jeff, Maggie, and Dr. Harrington and her honorary granddaughter, Theresa Mealler who gave her excellent care. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 with Tom Hart and Paul Goodman officiating.
