Totsy Garriott

Totsy Virginia Houston King Garriott of Fayetteville, known to most as "Ginny" passed away September 10, 2017. Born in Palestine, Arkansas in 1940 to Ila Tarnel Cagle Houston and Sam Dewey Houston. Totsy is preceded in death by her parents, father of her children, Garry Donald King Sr., brothers, Dee and Phoenix Houston, brother in law Shelby Hardin and sister in law Joann Houston. Totsy was the oldest daughter of nine siblings, Dee, Bill, Herschal, Mary, Hedi, Pat, Phoenix and Judy. She is survived by her children, Peggy Counts of Elkins, Teresa Toney of Harrison, Sammie and Sam McTigrit of Bella Vista, Garry and Tina King of Farmington and Paul and Jennifer King of Virginia. Totsy has 15 grandchildren, Hannah, Micka, Maddie, Mickey, Julian Toddy, Jayne, Willie, Ricky, Sam, Colby, Ebb, Augusta, Tyler, Devon and Katelyn. She has 18 great-grandchildren. Totsy lived in Northwest Arkansas most of her life and retired from Kearney Electric in Fayetteville. She was strong willed, a perfectionist and fiercely independent. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, her fishpond and her pets throughout her life. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville.
