Martha Joan Harrell Crook, passed away peacefully at her home in Hot Springs, Arkansas on September 17, 2017 and will be missed by her large extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Viola Harrell; her siblings, Morris, Michael and Steven Harrell. She is survived by her sister, Donna Cox of Sherwood; two brothers, Lonnie of Cocoa Beach, Florida and Jerry of Cabot. She was an inspirational mother to her daughter, Becky Rogers (Bobby) and granddaughter, Kristen Williams both of Hot Springs. Martha was born September 8, 1943 in Jacksonville, Arkansas and attended Bayou Meto Elementary School and later graduated from Sylvan Hills High School, Class of 62. She later worked and retired from Affiliated Foods Distribution Center, Little Rock. After retirement she resided in Hot Springs with her late husband, Eddie Crook. Martha was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Martha would want her friends to remember her spirit of generosity. She always gave and never asked for anything. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2017 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 21st at the funeral home.
