Anna Lee Jones, 93, passed away on September 18, 2017 in Rogers. She was born on July 16, 1924 in Hardin, Missouri to the late Cash and Iva Mae (Herring) Daugherty. She was the loving wife of the late James Jones. While living in Arizona, Anna Lee worked at J.C Penny in Glendale before opening a dairy farm in Phoenix with her husband, James. She worked beside him every day and loved being with the animals. She went on to be a teacher's aide at Dysart School. She and James had a passion for camping and hunting (which she was very skilled at). She loved children, animals and had a certain zest for life. Anna Lee was a pleasure to be around and had a very positive influence on those around her. She will be dearly missed. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She attended services at Southside here in Rogers and Northwest in Glendale, Ariz. Anna Lee was preceded in death by her son, James Lee Jones; her sisters, Blanche, Ruby, Dorothy, Leyda, Lydia, and Callie; and her brother, William Daugherty. She is survived by her grandchildren, William Jones of Valdez, Alaska and Heather Patton of Silver City, New Mexico; and two great-grandchildren, Samuel and Madilyn Patton. Also, numerous nieces and nephews, many of them were cared for through the years by Anna and James. A visitation will be on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 5 until 7 p.m. in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service and burial will be in Glendale, Arizona on September 28, 2017.
