Mary Ivy Nuckols

Mary Ivy Nuckols died peacefully at the home of her daughter, Vicki, in Covington, La. on September 11, 2017. Mary was born on April 3, 1921 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, to Ira and Ivalu Coryell. She married Andrew Ivy of McGehee in May, 1942. He died in 1956, and in 1970, she married Walter Nuckols, who died in 2004. She often said how blessed she was to have had two wonderful husbands. Mary lived in McGehee for 72 years. She was employed by Southwestern Bell for 35 years. Her passions were her church, her grandchildren and social times with friends. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Bill Ivy and Eileen Kenney of Tulsa, Okla., Vicki Hesson and Robert of Covington, La., grandchildren, Andrew Ivy, Drew Hesson, Darrick Hesson, Amanda Reyes and Brooke Bacharach, great-grandchildren: Layna, Armani, Hadley, Alijah, and Harper. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 25th, at 10 a.m. in the 1st Presbyterian Church of McGehee.
