Velma Vivian Jones

Velma Vivian Jones, 94, of Birdtown, Ark., took her heavenly flight on the morning of Sept. 22 after a short battle with lymphoma. She was a correspondent for the Petit Jean Headlight for over 40 years, and retired from Arrow Automotive at the age of 71. Velma was a wonderful lady who loved the Lord, and always thought of others first. She leaves behind a great example of love and kindness, and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, and a grandson. She is survived by her four children, seven grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation is Sunday, Sept. 24, from 2-4 p.m., and the Funeral is Monday Sept. 25, at 2 p.m., at Bob Neal &Sons Funeral Home.
