Beverly Sue Callaway Manning, age 73, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, Sept. 23, at her home. She was born on Dec. 5, 1943, in Mabelvale, the daughter of the late Arlie and Nettie West Callaway. She was a retired supervisor at Arkadelphia CADC SCAT and a member of Third Street Baptist Church. Beverly is survived by her husband of 58 years, Floyd "Buddy" Manning; two daughters, Karen Arnold (Ricky) of Curtis; and Jill Batson (Blake) of Arkadelphia; three grandchildren, Clint Arnold (Kim), Cabb Batson, and Blaise Batson; three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kade, and Casen Arnold; and one brother, Wallis Callaway (Mae Jean) of Arkadelphia. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Beard. Beverly loved to attend all of the events that involved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was a great supporter of them. She loved camping at Davidson Campground every summer and on holidays with the Circle D Camping Club. She also enjoyed her weekly Phase 10 card nights with a group of very special friends. Visitation will be held from 6 -8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, at Third Street Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Third Street, followed by burial at Richwoods Cemetery, with Brother Greg Lathem and Brother Charlie Williams officiating. Sons-in-law, grandsons, and great nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Davidson Campground, 102 Fawn Ridge Ln., Hot Springs, Ark. 71913.
