Kenneth Ray Miller Sr.

On September 20, 2017, God called you home to heaven. Kenneth R. Miller Sr. was born to Leo and Madie Miller, 70 years ago in Little Rock, AR. He was the youngest of three children. Kenneth attended Little Rock Public School and graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1965 where he met his high school sweetheart, Joyce J. Wade. They married and from this union they have three children, one son and two daughters. He joined Wesley United Methodist Church in Little Rock at an early age. Kenneth went to Los Angeles in 1967. He left to further his career in Brick Masonry. He returned to Arkansas, working at the Arkansas State Hospital where he retired. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo J. Miller; mother, Madie Miller; brother Leo Miller; sister, Joyce Jones and the love of his life, Joyce Wade. He is survived by his son, Kenneth Miller, Jr. of Raleigh, N.C.; two daughters, Corla Ridout of Little Rock, Ark. and Alliesha Taylor of Killeen, Texas; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Home-going services will be Saturday, September 30, 2017, 11 a.m., at Greater Second Baptist Church, 5615 Geyer Springs Rd. Interment will follow at Elmlawn Cemetery. Family visitation: Friday, September 29, 2017, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 South Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 372-1305.
