Clarence Acklin

Clarence Acklin, 62, of Louisville, Ky. (formerly of Conway, Ar) went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born January 16, 1955 to the late Frances Acklin. He was the tenth child of 16 children. Clarence was preceded in death by his mother and four brothers, Dewillis Lasker, Wilton Lewis Lasker, William Earl Lasker and Johnny Phillip Lasker. Clarence served in the United States Air Force for four years. After leaving the service, he earned his degree in Business from UALR. Upon graduating, his career included a store manager at Kmart, real estate agent, and District Manager at The Fresh Market. At the time of death, Clarence was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AckWright, LLC of Conway, Ark. Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mrs. Martha "Ann" Acklin and four sons, Rian Acklin, Aaron Acklin and Shawn Acklin, all of Los Angeles, Calif. and Steven Acklin of Louisville, Ky.; a loving sister-in-law Ms. Muriel "T" DuChane of Louisville, Ky.; granddaughter Gabrielle Alexis Kottoncamp-Acklin of Michigan; six brothers, James Lasker, Genevle (Judith) Acklin, Robert (Alice) Wright, and Vincent (Regina) Acklin, all of Conway, Ark.; Ceodis Lasker of Muskogee, Okla. and Marcus (Denise) Acklin of Houston, Texas; five sisters, Martha Wilson Williams, Mona Agee Marshall, and Vernell (Lee) Wright, all of Conway, Ark.; Verla (Leodis) Williams of El Dorado, Ark. and Rose (Lester) Bentley of Atlanta, Ga.; and a very special friend (brother), Larry Dean Waters of Conway, Ark. He has one surviving aunt Mary Morris of Conway, Ark. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish his memory. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Mt. Gale Missionary Baptist Church, #8 West Brannon Drive, Conway, Ark.
