Lester E Burton

Rev. Lester E. Burton, beloved husband, father, pastor, grandfather and friend departed this life Tuesday, September 26, 2017. He was born March 17, 1931 in Wynne, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his dad, Noah Burton and mother, Mattie Ruth Burton McMurtry; step-dad, B.I. McMurtry; sisters, Francis Davis, Bertha (Bill) Dulin, Josephine (Edsel) Chapman, Vivian Holleman and brother, Orville (Edna)Burton. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Burton; daughter, Donna (Raymond) Young; sons, Larry (Marilyn) Burton and Kevin (Janika) Burton. He leaves eight grandchildren, Chad (Shana) Young, Stephanie (Edson) Abrao, Kristen (Ross) Burton, Justin (Melonie) Burton, Haley Burton, Austin Burton, River Burton and Paisley Burton; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine James and a host of family and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Crystal Hill Baptist Church, 18823 Crystal Valley Road, Little Rock, Ark.
