Alton Jon Robertson

Alton Jon Robertson, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. He was born to J.C. Robertson and Mable Reynolds Robertson on September 1, 1947, and he spent his final days surrounded by the people he loved. He was preceded in death by his parents, his many dogs, and Evelyn Hohl Robertson, his wife of 30 years. Together they built a home where their friends and family were always welcome. Alton shared his enthusiastic love of movies by managing theatres and video stores, eventually opening Alton's Video. He adored his work with the Conway Human Development Center and the Arkansas School for the Blind, where he spread his endearing youthfulness every day for 17 years. He loved unconditionally and unapologetically, and he put the needs of others before his own until his very last moments. He will be deeply missed. Alton is survived by his twin, Elton (Sharon) Robertson, brothers, Lynn (Debbie) and Steve (Lenelle) Robertson, son, Jon (Aimee) Robertson, granddaughter, Delaney Robertson, and countless friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 6, at UCA's Brewer Hegeman Conference Center, 201 Donaghey Ave., Conway, Ark. 72035.
