Dorothy L Battle

Dorothy L. Battle, age 93, of Little Rock, passed away on September 25, 2017. She was born to the late, William C. Perrigen and Cora Marie Cobb Perrigen on December 8, 1923 in Little Rock. She drew her greatest pride from being a mother. She was very patriotic and was a member of the American Legion and WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) National. She loved her Lord and was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church since 1953. She enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; brother, James Perrigen and sister, Lois Fertig. Dorothy is survived by her son, William B. Battle; daughters, Gayle Brown and Peggy Battle; two grandsons, Rick (Beth) and Mark (Leslie) Brown; five great-grandchildren and host of other family and friends who all love and miss her dearly. A graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Geyer Springs First Baptist or Saline Memorial Hospice.
