JAMES "JIMBO" ROBERT DOUGLASS, 82, of Jacksonville died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Little Rock. He was born January 22, 1936 in Jacksonville to the late Thomas Bennett Douglass and Maria Wilkerson Douglass. Mr. Douglass was a member of the First United Methodist Church and in the waste disposal business for over 50 years and the president of Douglass Services, Inc. for the last 15 years. Jimmy was the quarterback of the football team and captain of the basketball team at Jacksonville High School Red Devils. In addition to his parents, Mr. Douglass was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Caulk Douglass; son, James S. Douglass; siblings, Thomas N. Douglass (Polly), Margaret Douglass Payne (Dewey) and John B. Douglass. Mr. Douglass is survived by his daughters, Diane Douglass Bowlan and her husband, David of Jacksonville and Jill Douglass Johnson and her husband, Kenny of Cabot; step-son, Charles Mark Dewey and his wife, Cindy of Bentonville; one grandson, Steven Brent Douglass and his girlfriend, Bonnie Whaley; two step-grandchildren, Christy Anderson and her husband, Eric and Charlie Dewey and his wife, Ashleigh; two great grandchildren, Amber Douglass and Zachary Douglass; five step-great grandchildren, Leighton, Katherine, Charlotte, Drake and Bennett; sister-in-law, Joann Douglass of Little Rock; a special adopted grandson, Bobby Foreman and his wife, Joy as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends that will miss Jimbo dearly. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville with Reverend Nathan Kilbourne and Reverend Charles Watt officiating. Interment will follow at Bayou Meto Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501)982-2136.
