Kay Palmer Williamson

Kay Palmer Williamson, 70, of Memphis, Tennessee, died March 26, 2018 at Baptist Hospital of complications from pneumonia. Kay was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Robert E. and Dorothy H. Palmer, but was raised in Holly Grove. She was a retired school teacher and an executive assistant. She was a member of Church of the Holy Communion in Memphis. Kay loved to read and spend time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Williamson; and her parents. Kay leaves her only daughter, Hope (Sean) MacDermant; two grandchildren, Emily and Andrew MacDermant; and her sister, Ann Palmer Coleman. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Communion in Memphis, Tennessee with a reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Agnes-St. Dominic School, Annual Fund, or Library, 4830 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, Tennessee, 38117 or Church of the Holy Communion Children's Ministries or Children's Choir, 4645 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, Tennessee, 38117.
