Juanita Banasky Joerns

Juanita Banasky Joerns, 91, of Stuttgart, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Baptist Health-Stuttgart. Ms. Joerns was born November 30, 1926, in Slovak, to George Paul and Ruth Rodman Banasky. Her whole life was centered on raising her four children; then she began employment at Stuttgart Medical Clinic – now Baptist Health — retiring after 39 years as the telephone operator, just five years ago. She was a devoted mother, and loved being GaGa to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her poodle, Prissy. Survivors are her children, Gary (Sherry) Joerns of Joplin, Mo., Beverly (Benny) Adkins of Union, Miss., Paula (Dwayne) Williams of Stuttgart, and Carole Harris of Jacksonville; brothers, Harold (Mary Francis) Banasky of Stuttgart and Edward (Bonnie) Banasky of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Gloria Joyce "PeeWee" (Bob) Follensbee of California; seven grandchildren, Diane (Jeffery) Andrews, Mark Adkins, Jennifer Joerns, Amber Joerns, Shannon (Scott) McCarty, Travis Williams and Samantha (Shane) Holzhauer; six great-grandchildren; and a great-grand puppy.
