Clyde Maurice Hilton

Clyde Maurice Hilton, age 82, of El Paso, Arkansas, loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at home on April 5, 2018. He was born in Searcy, Arkansas to the late Kermit and Roxie Smalley Hilton on January 26, 1936. He graduated from Griffithville High School and then joined the United States Air Force. Clyde served his country in the Vietnam War and retired from active duty in 1973. After retiring he then returned to his love of farming. He then worked for Civil Engineering at Little Rock Air Force Base. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Griffithville, the Beebe VFW and was an early morning member of the Liars' Club at McDonald's in El Paso. Survivors include his wife Sandy; four children, Jon Starns (Lisa) of Texas, Ricki Linn Turak (Phil) of Arizona, Bill Hilton and Denise Hilton both of Searcy; grandchildren, Mei Lian & Li-Lian Starns, Rachel & Lindsay Turak, Audrey Speers and Kyle Hilton; great-grandchild, Callie; and sister, Ruby Self of Joy. Clyde was predeceased by several siblings and his son, Steven Hilton. Memorial services will be at Sixteenth Section United Methodist Church in Austin on Monday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m., at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 700 North Second Street, Cabot, Arkansas (501-843-5816).
