Faye Elizabeth (Black) Stearns

Mrs. Faye Elizabeth (Black) Stearns passed away at Harding Place, surrounded by family on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at the age of 82. She was born June 19, 1935 in Bradford, the daughter of Washington Earl and Clara Elizabeth (Willis) Black. On December 17, 1956, Miss Faye Elizabeth Black married Mr. Emmett B. Stearns, and together they spent 56 years. Mrs. Stearns retired in 2000 from General Industries, where she was a Quality Control Inspector, and had worked over 20 years. She enjoyed landscape painting, quilting, and raising a garden with Emmett. Mrs. Stearns was a sweet lady who, more than anything, loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Crossroads Church of Christ. Mrs. Stearns was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett; three brothers, Frank, Charles, and Leonard Black; and one sister, Irene Winchester. She is survived by two sons, Michael Stearns and wife, Rhonda, of Cabot, and Dennis Stearns and wife, Julie, of Searcy; one daughter, Debbie Anselmi of Bald Knob; four grandchildren, Craig Anselmi and wife, Candace of Bald Knob, Kristopher Webb and wife, Autumn of League City, Texas, Kristen Taylor of Cabot, and Amanda Lacey of Hot Springs; six great-grandchildren, Claire, Austin, Connor, Stephen, Maddie, and Caden; four nephews; 11 nieces; and a lifetime of friends. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday, 10-11 a.m. Graveside services are 11:30 a.m. at Heard Cemetery.
