Melinda Ann Sites

MELINDA ANN "LYNN" SITES, 54, of Sherwood, passed away on Friday, April 6. Born and raised in Monticello, Ark., to parents Earl and Patsy Forrest, Lynn graduated from Monticello High School in 1982, and moved to the central Arkansas area soon after, where she began a longtime career as a travel agent for Sue Smith Travel and Alltel. She also was Sales Director for Marriott Residence Inn for a number of years. Lynn was a loving partner, mother and grandmother who loved to travel and was a wonderful cook best known for her cheesecake and Chicken Parmesan. Lynn is preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Melissa Forrest. She is survived by her life partner of nine years, Rodger Kolb; daughter, Samantha Van Meter; grandchildren, Hunter and William Van Meter; brother, Shannon Forrest; niece, Jane Worrell; and nephew, Michael Forrest. A memorial service celebrating Lynn's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, N. Little Rock, Ark., with visitation beginning one hour prior.
