Shelby Fenter, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018, at her home. She was born February 15, 1938, in Paris, Arkansas, to the late Roy L. Gray and Ruth (Chandler) Gray. She was 80 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Guy Fenter. Shelby was a computer specialist at the Guy Fenter Education Cooperative in Branch from January, 1985 until her retirement in June, 2015. She was a graduate of Paris High School and she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Charleston. Her whole goal in life was to support her family and many friends through their own journey in life. Just like her late husband Guy, she embraced the "Star Fish Story" and made every effort to make-a-difference in the lives of others. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17th, at First United Methodist Church in Charleston, with Rev. Daniel Thueson officiating. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston. She is survived by two daughters, Pam Widders and husband Pat of Alma and Ginger Fenter and husband Shane of Lake Ouachita; one son, Glen Fenter and wife Jody of Marion; a sister, Betty Tillman of Paris; a brother, Tracy Gray and wife Brenda of Perry, Georgia; six grandchildren, Jerry Ed and wife Sara, Shelby Jo and husband Kaleb and Gray, all of Marion, Zack and wife Morgan of Proctor, Brock of Conway, and Garrett of Charleston; three great-grandchildren, Izzy, Beau, and Cash Fenter. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Jerry Ed Fenter, Zack Fenter, Garrett Widders, Shelby Jo Moore, Brock Widders, and Gray Fenter. Family visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 16th, at First United Methodist Church Church in Charleston.
