Carolyn LaFran Shelton McKinney, 71, of Fountain Hill, died Wednesday, April 18, 2018..Mrs. McKinney was a native and lifelong resident of Fountain Hill and a 1964 graduate of Fountain Hill High School. She worked for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation as an Accounting Clerk for 32 years and she and her husband co-owned and operated the Catfish Inn in West Monroe, Louisiana from 1983 until 1993 and in Hamburg from 1993 until 2011. She was a member of the Eden Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jimmy McKinney in 2010; a grandson, Alex James McKinney and her parents, E.C. "Bunk" & Bessie Reames Shelton. She is survived by a son, James McKinney and wife, D'Ann, of Hamburg; a sister, Linda Huffman and husband, Bruce, of Monticello; a brother-in-law, Robert McKinney and wife, Hisae, of Honolulu, Hawaii; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Holloway and husband, Wiley, of Lampasas, Texas; two granddaughters, Brooke and Malorie McKinney, three nephews and a niece. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Saturday at the Eden Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Watt and Rev. J.W. Dobbins officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers are Andy Riels, Larry Stanley, Jerry Stanley, Chad Huffman, Brad Huffman and Chris Huffman. Honorary pallbearers are Glynn Riels, Roddy Goodwin, Elray Wallis, Bill Murphy and her former co-workers at Georgia-Pacific. Memorials may be made to the Eden Cemetery Association, c/o Jerry Stanley, 747 Hwy. 8 W, Hamburg, Ark. 71646. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
