DEACON HERSHEL NELSON transitioned on April 19, 2018. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: wife of 50 years, Mary V. Nelson, one son, David (Donna) Nelson, daughters; Adriane Nelson-Hines & Karen Rivers. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Jimmie & Louise Nelson, brother Thorsee (Gloria, still living), sisters, Dorothy Lee Lewis (Albert, deceased) and Doris Ashmore. He leaves to cherish his astounding memories, his wife and children and brothers James Nelson (Annie) LR, Charles Nelson, NLR, Jimmie Nelson, Jr. (Lori), Sylvester Nelson (Gloria) and Charles Mark Nelson all of LR. Sisters, Pearline (Freddie, deceased), LR, Lois Lewis, NLR, Verine Harper (Terry) Scott, Arlene Rogers (Homer), NLR, Erma Jackson (Johnnie), LR, Joyce Pettus (Patrick), LR, Glenda Faye Shipp,TX, & Shelia Moore (Donnie) NLR. Grandchildren; Betty Nelson, Toni D. Hines & Jade Y. Rivers. Great granddaughter, Kensli D. Hines. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 5-7 p.m., with Funeral services held at Paradise Baptist Church, 820 H. Street in North Little Rock, (Dixie) at 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Burial will be at a later date in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
