Jeffrey O. Scriber

Jeffrey Owen Scriber, 42, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born March 18, 1976 in Jonesboro to Dr. Ladd and Marcie Pearce Scriber. Jeff was a practicing attorney in Jonesboro and was an avid outdoorsman. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Jeff was an exceptional student while attending the University of Arkansas School of Law, graduating in the top five percent of his class. That commitment to learning the law continued in his practice of the law as well. Highly respected as an accomplished trial lawyer. Jeff was held in the highest of regard among his peers. His greatest accomplishment was being a loving Dad to Sara and husband to Brianna. He is survived by his wife, Brianna Eastin Scriber; a daughter, Sara Burchfield of Jonesboro; his parents, Dr. Ladd Scriber and Marcie Scriber of Jonesboro; two brothers, Chris Scriber of Jonesboro and Craig Scriber of West Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Shelby Scriber of Jonesboro; his mother and father-in-law, Stan and Rose Eastin of Harrisburg and a wealth of loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Miles officiating. Interment will be private. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Luke Boyer, Al Brodell, Lindsey Castleberry, Jeff Gookin, Chris Jester, Donald Knapp, Brandon Lacy and Steve Schrantz and as honorary pallbearers, Matt Ahart, Paul Bennett, Will Gray, Shane McBrade, Jay Scholtens, Nate Scholtens and Chris Tilley.
