Laurel Ann Bohlander

Laurel Ann Bohlander, 66, entered her eternal rest on April 22 after a short illness. She was born May 4, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Melvin and Anna Bohlander. After high school, she trained at the Iowa Commission for the Blind. Her work was at Tip-Top Products in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and the Tommy Dale Orphanage, Goodwill Industries, and St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. She was a resident of Fayetteville, Ark., for the past eight years. Laurel saw with the eyes of faith and showed kindness, courage, and compassion throughout her life. She is survived by a brother, Larry (Mary) Bohlander of Pueblo, Colo.; a sister, Janet (Philip) Butin of Fayetteville, Ark.; a nephew, Matthew (Allison) Butin of Chicago, Ill.; and a niece, Kristen (Liam) Butin Shorrock of Washington, D.C. A service of witness to the resurrection will be held at 11 o'clock on May 12 at First United Presbyterian Church, 695 E Calvin Street, Fayetteville, where she was a member. A reception will follow. Burial will be on May 14 in Charter Oak, Iowa. Her family wishes to thank all who cared for her at Providence Assisted Living, Springdale, Ark., and the Circle of Life team.
