Max Rackley

Max Rackley, 88, of Sherwood passed away Monday, July 30, 2018. He was born December 21, 1929 in Pottsville, Arkansas to John and Bertha Rackley. He retired after 40 years in management with the JC Penney Co. He was a Deacon, active in the Gideons and community service. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eva Ann Kelly Rackley; children, Leanette Rackley Spencer (Doug), Douglas Kelly Rackley (Lisa), and Anniece Kay Gates (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Dorian Alice Hodges (Jason), Mark LaMond Spencer (Dai), Nathan Kelly Rackley, Aleigha Ruth Rackley, Michael Arthur Gates and Jessica Ann Gates; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Ruth Hodges; brother, Ed Rackley (Katherine); his beloved dog, Koda; and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nita Partain. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Sherwood, 701 Country Club Road, Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
