Ruth Sawyer Bolin

Mrs. Ruth Sawyer Bolin, 92, of Crossett, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Mrs. Bolin was a native of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg and a resident of Crossett for the past 63 years. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church. She was dedicated to sending cards to the ones that missed church, were sick or shut-in. Mrs. Bolin was proud of her family and prayed for them daily. An avid reader, she loved reading her bible, loved flowers, and enjoyed quilting and doing cross-stitch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie L. Bolin in 2002; a grandson, Joey Michael Rice; two granddaughters, Heather and Suzanne Bolin; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Bolin; a son-in-law, Gordon Earl Rice; her parents, John Morgan and Mary Bellot Sawyer; seven sisters, Allie Ree Pennington Griffin, Nona Bell Withers, Ellena Bolin, Era White, Lois Sawyer, Sallie Mae White, and Irma Bolin and two brothers, J.M. "Johnny" Sawyer and Orvis A. Sawyer. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra L. Rice and Donna R. Riley and husband, Jesse, all of Crossett; three sons, Royce Bolin and wife, Linda, of El Dorado, Billy Bolin and wife, Sally, and Sammy Bolin and wife, Susie, all of Crossett; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018, at the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Bro. Wes Miller and Johnnie Bolin officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ricky Rice, Todd Rice, Mark Bolin, Brad Bolin, Eric Bolin, David Donahue, Blake Riley, and Brett Riley. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandsons. Memorials may be made to the Cloverdale Assembly of God Church, 132 Ashley Road 15, Crossett, Ark. 71635.
