Lucy Charlene Edmonson, 83, of Bauxite, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018. Lucy was born to the late Walter and Beulah Fullington on March 20, 1935 in Ripley, Missouri. She is preceded in death by her parents and her incredibly loving and doting husband of 64 years, Bobby F. Edmonson. Lucy was head of the children's nursery at Holland Chapel for over 25 years, where she helped raise and mentor many children. Lucy is survived by her siblings: Jerry (Judy) Fullington, Ohma Faye (James) Mitchell and Phyllis Tucker; her three children: Bobby F. Edmonson II, Beverly (Randy) Crossland and Benjie (Beverly) Edmonson; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Lucy Charlene enjoyed co-piloting road trips, no matter what direction the van was headed. She was dubbed by her family as the "connoisseur of fine catfish." She was also a Mega-Fan of Danielle Steele (books have been pre-ordered for months) and an avid lover of dessert, meaning - it should be enjoyed first and if you are still hungry, maybe eat your meal. She may have been perceived as a quiet person at times, but Lucy was very clever and quick to respond when the opportunity arose. A surprising fact, she was a big fan of watching baseball! Our mother's bright smile and wit will be missed forever in our hearts. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Ashby's Funeral Home in Benton. Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery officiated by Rev. Carl Richey. On-line guest book at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
