James "Jim" Edward Hambuchen, 74, of Conway, Ark., went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 11, 2018. He was born February 1, 1944 in New Orleans, LA to the late August "Gus" and Mary Ellen (Lachowsky) Hambuchen. Jim was a faithful member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He served honorably in the Arkansas Army National Guard. He was a master electrician and owner of Hambuchen Electric. Jim served on the board of directors of the National Association for the Self-Employed for over 30 years, both as its Treasurer and Chairman, representing the interests of small business owners. His passion and his insight were instrumental in establishing a small business grant program and a student scholarship program, making a significant difference for hundreds of families all across the country. His influence will continue forever through this organization to which he was dedicated. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, playing golf at Nutters Chapel, and water and snow skiing. He was the most generous man always helping anyone that asked. He devoted his life to his family. He was loved very much by his friends and family, who will dearly miss his contagious laughter and unique sense of humor. Left to cherish his memory is his loving family, his wife of 48 years, GiGi (Worm) Hambuchen; son, Eric Hambuchen (Chrystel); daughters, Gina Hambuchen and Jill Turner (Mark); grandchildren, Anna Kathryn Whitley, Elizabeth Marie Whitley, Riley Jane Turner and Reagan Lee Turner; great-grandson, Jay Duke Williams; sister, Linda Hambuchen-Story; nieces, Cynthia Winter (Mike) and Tisha Keathley (Bill); great-nieces, Gracie and Laiken Keathley; and family "Brother" Thomas "Mac" Nabholz. A rosary will be held at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Ark. at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2018 with visitation to follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway, Ark..
