John S. Heffernan

John S. Heffernan, 77, of North Little Rock passed away January 31, 2018. He was a member of North Hills Baptist Church and retired from the Arkansas Army National Guard serving for over 27 years, he served as a volunteer and Director of Retiree Archive Office at the Little Rock Air Force Base for 15 years. He was born in Little Rock September 12, 1940 to the late John L. Heffernan and Lillian Dillaha Heffernan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert L. Heffernan. He is survived by his son Kevin Heffernan of North Little Rock, his brother, Thomas L. Heffernan of Rockport, Texas and his sister Patricia K. Kelly of Little Rock. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Alzheimer's Arkansas or Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery Beautification Foundation. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at North Hills Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Interment will follow in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
