Jane Bailey Barnhouse

Jane Barnhouse, 79, of Sherwood, died Sunday, February 9, 2018, at her residence. The daughter of Ragan and Millie Ida Belle (Baker) Bailey, she was born July 20, 1938, in Russellville. She loved working in her yard, supporting her grandchildren in sports activities, and doing things to care for her family. She displayed a happy, care-free spirit that was contagious to all who loved and knew her. Before retirement, she was a Human Resource Administrator with Heritage Publishing Company. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 24 years, James E. Barnhouse. She is survived by her son, Randy Barnhouse of Russellville; two daughters, Karen Baker of Sherwood, and Kathy Baker of Vicksburg, Miss.; a brother, James Bailey (Judy) of Russellville; two nephews, Jon Bailey (Melanie) of Pennsylvania, and Jimmy Bailey (Kelle) of Georgia; four grandchildren, Jeremy Baker, Erin Williams (Eddy), Payton Baker (Tamara) and Leigh Ann Webb; five great-grandchildren, Haylee Baker, Alakai Baker, Aria Williams, Axel Williams, and Rylin Baker; and many other relatives. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Darwin Barnhouse and Major Mike Barnhouse will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, by Humphrey Funeral Service.
