Nancy Grayson Parker, 78, of Jonesboro, passed peacefully from this life on February 12, 2018. She was born June 30, 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Willie LaVerne Allen and Robert Grayson Lamb. Mrs. Parker married Donald Leon Parker on August 28, 1960. They enjoyed 56 years together before his death on December 31, 2016. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Donald L. Parker II and Lynn McKnight Parker of Jonesboro; a daughter, Celeste Parker Vereen of Little Rock; five grandchildren: Clara Elizabeth Parker, Anna Sims Parker, Sydney Grayson Parker, Jackson Parker Vereen, and Augustus Williams Vereen; a sister, Linda Lamb Collier and husband Darrell of Leander, Texas and a brother, Robert Allen Lamb, of Harrisburg. Nancy is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews in addition to a multitude of friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on February 15, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro with Rev. John Miles and Rev. Patty Soward officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the Celebration of Life Service from Noon until 1:30 p.m. in the Atrium at First United Methodist Church. Internment will be private at Harrisburg Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers and for lasting memorials, the family requests that consideration be given to the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House, 1148 E.
