Ronald Bryan Nance

Ronald Bryan Nance of Batesville, having previously lived in Searcy for many years, departed this life on February 22nd, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 75 to go to his heavenly home. He was born to the late Boyce N and Georgia Lee Nance on July 28th, 1942. He was a member of the Harrison Street Church of Christ in Batesville. He served in the United States Army, was a farmer, businessman, and drove a truck for many years. He enjoyed helping with prison ministry and helping those affected by natural disaster. He loved fishing, hunting, visiting places and always put smiles on everyone's face that came in contact with him, never meeting a stranger. He loved hosting fish fry's for his family and friends. He was a great husband, daddy, brother, and friend. He married Donnie Ruth Lee on August 4th, 1962, was the proud daddy of Renate Nance of Eureka Springs, Yolonda Reed (Mitchell) of Concord, and Erika Bridges (Steven) of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was a papa to four grandchildren, Elizabeth Reed of Concord, Ethan Reed of Jonesboro, Silas Bridges and Ty Owen Bridges of Knoxville, Tenn. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Nance Strecker (Paul) of Cord. His joy was his lap dog, Opie, who kept him company for several years. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Fred Owen Snetzer Sr. and Donald Nance. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, February 24th at the Harrison Street Church of Christ at 2 p.m. with Bro. Steve Smith and Bro. Hervey Madden officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Newport. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Children's Home Inc. in Paragould or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis.
