BETTY JO (MASSEY) COOK, 90, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Tuesday, February 20th, 2018. She was born on June 21, 1927, to Alton & Grace Massey in Amity, Ark. She was the oldest of four children. Mrs. Cook was a long standing member of the Arkansas Home Extension Service. Her membership with them began in Texarkana, then Gurdon, Arkadelphia and most recently in Little Rock. Mrs. Cook's fondest passion was quilting. She graciously shared her beautiful quilts by giving them to family, friends, fund raisers and charities. Her other passions included numerous other types of hand stitchery, arts and crafts, and basket weaving. She spent her life as a very Christian woman and was active in her church ministries and activities. She was a member of Reynold's Memorial Baptist Church in Little Rock and she dearly loved her "Church Family". Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Clyde L. Cook, Sr.; her parents; sister, Wanda Taylor; two brothers, Sonny & Arden Massey; as well as a son, Aaron P. Cook. Mrs. Cook is survived by one son, Clyde L. Cook, Jr.; two daughters, Penny Garnette (Tim), and Pamela Schwarz (Scott); one daughter in law, Beth Cook (Surviving spouse of Aaron); four grandsons, Clyde L. Cook III, Chance Garnette, Ramsey Garnette, Nathan Garnette; three granddaughters, Courtney Cook Schoenhofer, Lauren Cook and Madison Cook; two step grandsons, Scott A. Schwarz & Christopher Schwarz; and one step great- granddaughter, Viviana Schwarz. A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Hwy 5 North, Alexander, Ark. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Funeral Home.
