Roy F. Sharp

ROY F. SHARP, age 91, of Jacksonville passed away on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017. He was born Feb. 1, 1926 in Cedar Glades, Ark. to the late Luther and Rosa Sharp. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Emma Jean Sharp and his daughter Debra Sharp Varnell. He was a retired United States Army Veteran serving during WWII, Korea and Vietnam Eras. He was a Purple Heart recipient. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his three sons, Ronald F. Sharp and his wife Lynne, Michael R. Sharp and Dureta, Jeffrey Lee Sharp and his wife Kim, 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
