Mary "Juanita" Pinegar passed away from her earthly life to be with the Lord on Jan. 5, 2018, in Searcy, Ark. She was born Jan. 6, 1929, in Judsonia, Ark. Juanita had an unwavering love for the Lord and lived everyday of her life serving Him. She was a founding member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church and a dedicated Sunday school teacher. After retiring from 30 years at Cato's Corporation, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and doing her morning bible study. She was survived by her daughters, Janis Pence-Altman (Rick) of Navarre, Fla., Lisa Lee (Michael) of Searcy; grandsons, Stacey Pence, Brandon Pence; granddaughter, Leslie Rush (Matt); great-grandchildren, Easton Rush, Aubrey Rush; brother, Guy Humphries, and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Pinegar; parents, John Edgar and Lillie Mae Humphries; brothers, Earl Humphries and Neal Humphries. Visitation will take place Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, from 10-11 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11 a.m., both at Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. Interment will take place at Roosevelt Cemetery.
