Mary Lou Taylor, 83, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning on January 10, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 28, 1934 in Pine Bluff, daughter of Clarence and Helen Woods Spharler, and was reared and received her early education in Watson Chapel - graduating from Watson Chapel High School. Mary Lou was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Bob J. Taylor; her parents, and her brothers, Charles, Sonny and Larry Spharler. Survivors include her two daughters, Bobbie Davies (Cliff) of Fort Worth, Texas and Mary Mercer (Mike) of Midlothian, Texas; her sisters, Joann Bussey and Betty Hughes-Floyd of Pine Bluff, Patsy Baber of Mesquite, Texas, and Joyce Gotcher of Lufkin, Texas. Mary Lou also leaves behind her two beloved granddaughters, Jessica Rystad (and her father, Ken, also beloved by Mary Lou) of Torrance, California and Jamie Mercer of Midlothian, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Dr. Ken Shaddox officiating. Interment will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery.
