Ronnie Hawkins

Ronnie Hawkins, age 67, of Hot Springs Village, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Ronnie was born November 12, 1950 in West Helena to Vera Cobb Hawkins and Roy Hawkins Jr. He is preceded in death by his parents. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Donna Carr Hawkins; his sons, Sandy Hawkins (Mindy) of Hot Springs, and Shawn Hawkins (Angela) of Benton; a sister, Joetta Laswell of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Hailey Belle, Riley Jade, and Reece Taylor; and many other extended family members and friends. Ronnie was an active member of Balboa Baptist Church. He was a dedicated educator and umpire for 46 years. He was a volunteer coach at Jessieville, but most of his coaching career was spent in boys basketball at Sheridan. He loved coaching and umpiring for the love of the game. In honor of Ronnie and his love for his family and his passion for sports, take a special moment and dedicate it to spending time with your family or attend a ballgame. A visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. with a memorial service beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Balboa Baptist Church; 415 Ponce De Leon Drive, Hot Springs Village.
